We all know that Google is the world’s largest search engine, but did you know that YouTube is actually the second largest? It’s bigger than Yahoo or Bing or any of those other alternatives. What this means is that YouTube represents a huge opportunity for anyone looking to make money on the Internet. But how do you get there?
The more conventional path would have you building up a channel and making money through YouTube’s own monetization network, but that can be quite limited. Instead, you may want to take a look at a few different methods, as outlined by the YouTube Cash System e-book. Let’s get started with today’s review and see what this book has to teach us.
The Secrets to YouTube Success?
Dubbed “the ultimate guide to skyrocket your offline and online business with YouTube,” the YouTube Cash System is a 36-page training guide that is meant to walk you through some key processes on how to really make money with YouTube.
Going through the guide, you’ll be walked step-by-step with not only how to choose the right niche and product, but also some ideas for the types of videos you should be uploading and how to get the subscribers and views that you need on your YouTube channel to make that real money. That’s the good news.
Now, I know that I shouldn’t judge a book by its cover (bad pun intended), but the provided e-book cover doesn’t exactly fill me up with confidence. The 3D-rendered cover itself isn’t so bad, but why is the author byline not even “angled” to line up with the front cover? It looks like it was simply typed out and added in MS Paint after the fact. But maybe there’s still value inside?
Who Is Raphael Ricardo?
The YouTube Cash System training guide is provided to us by Raphael Ricardo. He is a self-described full-time Internet marketer and he helps small business owners “to develop the best marketing strategies to find more customers for their businesses.”
It’s likely that we don’t know many of the most successful Internet marketers out there and Ricardo could fall into that camp. However, just like the level of quality we saw with the e-book cover, his main blog doesn’t provide a lot of confidence either. Instead, all we see is that his blog is “cominig [sic] soon.” This hardly a professional-looking design, but we can give him the benefit of the doubt as the blog is still under construction, right?
Earning Big Bucks with Video
Unfortunately, it looks like the lack of care and professionalism also spill into the YouTube Cash System e-book. Here is the table of “content” [sic].
The book is essentially broken down into four main sections, each with a “trick” for YouTube marketing. You’ll find a lot of screenshots that walk you through some critical processes, like keyword research, but I found the content to be very shallow in nature. Unless you’re the purest of beginners, much of this is going to be old hat for you.
For example, one of the tips that he provides is that you should have your chosen keyword phrase in your YouTube video’s title, description and tag fields. Similarly, the four “really cool ideas” for making a YouTube video is to record a slideshow, do a video screen capture, record yourself talking, or pay someone to do it for you. It also doesn’t help that the writing itself is filled with so many spelling and grammatical errors that it’s a little painful to read.

The good news is that you don’t have to pay anything to get your copy of this book. You can grab the free download by simply providing your e-mail address. Some novices may learn a few things, but this guide serves as little more than a very basic introduction to topics like ranking factors and where you can buy some views, likes and comments. For the rest of us, it’s pretty easy to pass on this.
