There are few cartoons so malleable as the sales graph cartoon.
As often happens, I thought this one up while I was drawing another. The line in the graph had a wavy quality to it, suggesting water, and I thought it would be a fun idea to play around with.
A week or two later I returned to the idea, added in a submarine, and I had this cartoon.
